About the Organization

Tulsa Local Ventures LLC (TLV), a wholly owned subsidiary of George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF), is dedicated to fostering economic development and driving investment performance within the Tulsa metro area. Working closely with GKFF's economic development and investment initiatives, TLV strategically manages and enhances investments to deliver both financial returns and significant economic impact in our community.

Position Purpose

We are seeking a technically strong Financial Analyst to support portfolio reporting and early-stage diligence for new and follow-on investments, freeing leadership to focus on strategy while ensuring high-quality financial analysis and investment memoranda. This role drives accurate valuation updates, builds rigorous financial models, and helps create repeatable diligence and memo processes-based in Tulsa, OK.

The Tulsa Local Ventures LLC investment approach is opportunistic and focuses on valuation and market opportunity - as such the candidate needs to be flexible and interested in working across asset classes in a generalist style. TLV is a small, entrepreneurial, startup-style work environment where curiosity and the ability to be a self-starter are necessary for success. TLV believes that the most successful investors are innately curious and open-minded and combine these qualities with a robust intellect and an eagerness to conduct thorough analysis as they seek to identify unique opportunities.

As part of a larger philanthropic team, successful members of the investment team will be interested and engaged in the philanthropic work done by the George Kaiser Family Foundation.

Responsibilities / Essential Duties

  • Own quarterly portfolio reporting: gather data, update financial metrics, and deliver polished reports with minimal revisions
  • Build and maintain detailed financial and valuation models for portfolio companies and prospective investments
  • Produce first-draft investment memos and diligence summaries for new and follow-on deal opportunities
  • Coordinate diligence information requests and communicate analysis findings with portfolio founders and internal stakeholders
  • Support biannual valuation markings and collaborate with the investment team on valuation assumptions
  • Align with the Managing Director to standardize memo templates, diligence workflows, and reporting processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and memo creation; prototype automation or AI-assisted workflows over time
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all deliverables; escalate material issues promptly

Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrable advanced financial modeling skills (portfolio, valuation, or complex forecasting models
  • Proven experience producing investment-style diligence memos or detailed financial analysis summaries
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to reduce errors in models and reports
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments and adapting priorities as the role changes

Preferred

  • Prior experience with portfolio reporting or valuation updates in an investment context
  • Familiarity with automation tools or experience using AI to accelerate reporting/memo drafting
  • Exposure to startup metrics and SaaS or recurring-revenue business modeling

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • 3+ years of relevant finance experience (investment analyst, FP&A, valuation, PE/VC/IB/Big 4 or equivalent modeling exposure preferred)
  • Experience and efficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Work, Power Point and Adobe Pro

Hours and Location

  • This position is based at 12 N Cheyenne Ave, Tulsa, OK 74103
  • A typical work week is Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • The work week will occasionally vary with advance notice depending on scheduled programming and other events; may require evening or weekend hours for special events or tours
  • Domestic travel required on occasion
  • Ability to attend in-person meetings

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver License and auto insurance, passport, and reliable transportation required
