Job description

About the Role

We're looking for a highly analytical, hands-on Financial Analyst to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in supporting financial planning, month end close, expense management, reporting, and cross-functional projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment where no two days look the same.

You'll have exposure across all areas of finance and help build scalable processes as the company grows.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare recurring financial reports and KPI dashboards.
  • Analyze monthly financial results and investigate budget to actual variances.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long term planning.
  • Build ad hoc financial models and analyses to support business decisions.

Month-End Close

  • Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with accruals and prepaid schedules.
  • Help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Expense & T&E Management

  • Administer the company's travel and expense program.
  • Review employee expense reports for policy compliance.
  • Manage corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • Partner with employees to resolve expense related questions.

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Respond to requests from leadership with timely financial analysis.
  • Support operational initiatives across sales, marketing and operations.
  • Improve financial processes through automation and documentation.
  • Assist with audit, tax, banking, and financing requests.
  • Participate in systems implementations and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or investment banking.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas; Power Query is a plus).
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-changing startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
