Job description

Job Title: Financial Aid Work Study
Location: Marshalltown
Department: Financial Aid
Reports to: Associate Director of Financial Aid
Semester: Fall 2026
Number of Openings: 1
Rate of Pay: $11.00 per hour
Summary: The purpose of this position is to support the financial aid team with all aspects of providing guidance to students.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Assists students and parents by answering their financial aid questions by phone and walk-ins.
  • Performs routine tasks such as scanning and projects of a clerical, and/or administrative nature.
  • Provides backup for the financial aid office by taking students payments, printing statements, answering phone calls, etc.

Abilities:
  • Ability to handle highly confidential matters and materials with discretion.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn new software (Jenzabar EX - Student Information System).
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Maintain college GPA that meets or exceeds the IVCCD Standards of Academic Progress.

Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
