Job description

Product Actor
Location: Mount Pleasant, SC (On-site at Heirloom Headquarters)
Type: Part-Time / Contract (Ongoing)
Compensation: $20-$40 per hour depending on experience
About Heirloom
Heirloom helps families protect, rediscover, and share their most meaningful memories through professional digitization and a secure cloud platform. Our marketing content highlights simple, joyful moments-turning pages of old photo albums, organizing digital memories, and showing how easy it is to get started.
Role Overview
We are seeking friendly and expressive Product Actors to appear in short, non-speaking video clips and photo shoots used on our website, social media channels, and promotional materials.
Ideal candidates are comfortable conveying emotion and clarity through natural gestures, hands-on interactions, and subtle facial expressions. You'll represent the typical customer journey-especially middle-aged women, who make up our primary advertising demographic-but applicants of all backgrounds and ages are welcome.
What You'll Do
  • Perform non-speaking, on-camera actions such as:
    • Turning pages in photo albums
    • Handling old media (VHS tapes, photos, film reels)
    • Typing on a laptop or tapping on a mobile device
    • Reacting with natural expressions that convey curiosity, joy, or nostalgia
  • Follow direction from Heirloom's Content Producer during brief, focused shoots
  • Maintain clean, camera-ready hands and nails; modest jewelry preferred
  • Participate in short wardrobe or prop adjustments as needed
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for sessions typically lasting 2-4 hours

Qualifications
  • No prior acting experience required
  • Comfortable being filmed in partial-frame (hands, torso, or profile)
  • Able to take direction and perform simple physical actions repeatedly
  • Reliable transportation to and from Mount Pleasant, SC
  • A positive, collaborative attitude

Schedule & Commitment
This is a flexible contract or part-time role with ongoing opportunities. Sessions are scheduled in advance and may occur weekdays during normal business hours.
Compensation
$20-$40 per hour based on experience and portfolio. Heirloom is a budget-conscious startup, but we value professionalism and compensate fairly for skill, reliability, and availability.
To Apply
Please send:
  • A brief introduction
  • Any relevant portfolio, photos, or headshots (professional or casual)
  • Your general availability
