Our program offers comprehensive training, hands-on work experiences, networking opportunities, and unparalleled access to industry professionals needed for a thriving career.

ABOUT THE TRAINING


Amazon MGM Studios and Reel Works are partnering with FinalPixel Academy to launch an intensive 8-week hybrid training program to prepare New York Metro fellows with practical, creative, and technical skills needed to successfully work in Virtual Production for film and television productions. This training features two pathways:


Production Design & Virtual Art Department (VAD) fellows focus on environments, asset review, production design, look development, and VAD collaboration.


Volume Control fellows focus on LED volume operation, Unreal Engine playback, cueing, system checks, and on-set troubleshooting.


ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST:

  • Be at least 18+years old
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Must be a NY Metro Resident (NY, NJ, CT) within 50 miles or 2 hours of Columbus Circle
  • Not enrolled in full-time education
  • The ability to handle a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Prior Production Experience


Virtual Art Department Fellows:

  • Must have relevant experience in VFX, post-production, production design, and/or game design.


Volume Control Fellows:

  • Must have relevant experience in engineering, lighting, and live events.
