Internship film production positions are entry-level opportunities for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of filmmaking. What Are the Qualifications to Get a Film Production Internship?

The qualifications needed for a film production internship vary depending on the requirements of the program. Some internship opportunities are for students enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program in film studies, script writing, or filmmaking. If the job involves post-production work, you may need skills with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, AVID, or Final Cut Pro. Other production companies expect abilities such as being able to create storyboards or operate a digital video camera. These internships often involve running errands, requiring you to have a driver’s license.
