Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking a Manager, Technology Sourcing to join our Procurement team based in our New York, NY location.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) leaders to define business requirements and translate them into sustainable sourcing strategies that balance cost, performance, security, risk, scalability, and flexibility.
  • Lead the development and execution of technology category strategies across the full sourcing lifecycle from internal/external market assessment through supplier selection, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
  • Analyze market intelligence for technology trends and sourcing levers (e.g. pricing models, licensing metrics, consolidation opportunities, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML and cloud-native architectures, etc.) to inform sourcing strategy and negotiation plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial and contracting matters for technology acquisitions and renewals, providing expert sourcing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Build collaborative business relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers based on trust and integrity.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through competitive sourcing events (RFx), including requirements definition, proposal evaluation, supplier negotiations, award recommendations and contracting.
  • Negotiate and structure contractual agreements to achieve optimal pricing, service levels, performance commitments, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure responsible acquisition and governance of AI-enabled solutions, including regulatory compliance, privacy/data protection, ethical AI principles, and third-party risk management.
  • Identify, quantify, and track savings/value initiatives using the company's savings methodology; build business cases to support sourcing strategies and support finance validation of financial benefits.
  • Contribute to the evolution of procurement processes, policies and sourcing methodologies to support scalable, efficient and compliant technology procurement.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • BA/BS degree, MS/MBA/MA is desired, or equivalent experience in business management, supply chain or technology related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in IT Sourcing/Procurement, including demonstrated success leading complex, high-value sourcing initiatives and negotiations. Specific network, media broadcast and digital supply chain distribution experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence senior and executive level stakeholders, navigate effectively in ambiguous environments, and drive decisions and outcomes without formal authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with stakeholders from different functions to achieve results
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen with keen attention to detail
  • Executive presence and presentation skills; experience working with executive level management in influencing and driving recommendations and decisions
  • Strong project management and subject matter expertise in sourcing methodologies and e-Sourcing tools

The base compensation for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience.
