The Community Manager is responsible for the overall operations and performance of the property, ensuring it runs efficiently, remains compliant, and provides a positive experience for residents and staff. This role oversees all key functions, including HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit programs, rental applications, rent collections, annual recertifications, compliance, reporting, and file management. The Community Manager also leads resident relations, vendor partnerships, budget adherence, and unit inspections. In addition, the Community Manager supervises and supports the onsite team, including Leasing Agents, Assistant Managers, and Maintenance staff, ensuring strong curb appeal, timely unit turns, and responsive work order completion. This position is ideal for an organized, confident leader who enjoys managing people, processes, and performance within an affordable housing community. Who is our Ideal Candidate?
  • Experience managing affordable housing, including HUD, Section 8, and LIHTC programs
  • Strong understanding of compliance, recertifications, audits, and file management
  • Proven ability to lead onsite teams and oversee daily property operations
  • Skilled in resident relations, rent collections, budgeting, and vendor coordination
  • Organized, dependable leader focused on property performance and community standards
  • Valid Drivers license is required.
