Job description

Position Title: Shipping Coordinator
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Location: Evansville, IN
Job Purpose: Responsible for ensuring that inbound inventory to the DC and outbound shipments meet customer and company standards, verify that counts of items being shipped are accurate, and ensure that shipments adhere to customer compliance.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Keep records of shipments and file packing slips
  • Enter data such as addresses, quantities, and weights to complete the documentation necessary for shipping
  • Prepare and process products for shipment, working to ensure all orders are filled correctly
  • Ensure that the shipping dock remains safe and organized
  • Determine which delivery services each order requires amp; the proper carrier is utilized
  • In all tasks, Shipping Coordinator must meet company safety standards to ensure the work environment is safe for the themselves and the team
Qualifications amp; Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must possess clerical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must possess verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and must be organized
Physical Demands
  • Sitting, talking and listening 1/3 of the time
  • Standing, walking amp; coordinating the shipping area most of the time
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Stooping and kneeling
  • Fine motor coordination
Working Conditions
  • Distribution Center and office environment
