Job description

The purpose of this position is to get temporary help to assist in the completion of the Federal Bridge File Project. This project is estimated to last for about six (6) months but may be extended if necessary.
Responsibilities:
ยทย ย ย ย ย Accountable for the compilation of documents to complete each bridge file within the state.
ยทย ย ย ย ย Interweave the state provided business systems to complete the bridge documentation.
ยทย ย ย ย ย If the state business systems canโ€™t provide the completion of a bridge documentation, the incumbent will thoroughly research the โ€œAs Builtsโ€ record and reach out to the Archive Department to complete the bridge file. This work is complex and dynamic.
Qualifications:
ยทย ย ย ย ย Logical thinker, familiar with research techniques and not be afraid to ask questions.
ยทย ย ย ย ย Intermediate to advance excel user.
This bridge clerk/researcher is expected to perform the following tasks but not limited to:ย 
ยทย ย ย ย ย Conduct file research on required bridges.
ยทย ย ย ย ย Properly identify the bridges and catalog.
ยทย ย ย ย ย Convert the hard copy documentations to electronic file; through scanning (pdf), index and store at the temporary location.
ยทย ย ย ย ย If any existing TIFs file are found, these files must be converted to pdf.
ยทย ย ย ย ย A thorough audit for each bridge file is expected and documented for any anomalies (if exist). A random audit will be performed by the supervisor.
ยทย ย ย ย ย A written justification is required for incomplete bridge file (after a thorough research is done).
ยทย ย ย ย ย Record the daily bridge file completion.
ยทย ย ย ย ย Create a monthly report analysis of the bridge file (as needed).
ยทย ย ย ย ย Other duties maybe assigned to provide the state with a clean bridge documentation.Required/Desired Skills ย  SkillRequired /DesiredAmountof ExperiencePrior experience researching and auditing files; converting and organizing into digital formats.Requiredย ย Knowledge of file conversion process (e.g., TIF to PDF).Requiredย ย Prior experience managing digital storage systems.Requiredย ย Strong written and verbal communication stkills.Requiredย ย Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently.Requiredย ย
