Field Supervisor

Summary:

The position is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality field operations in compliance with Hydro Resources policies, procedures, and client requirements. This role involves supervising subordinates and subcontractors, overseeing project activities, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all safety, quality, and training standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance of Hydro Resources policies/procedures by all employees.
  • Ensure operations are conducted to a high standard which meets or exceeds client requirements.
  • Ensure proper quality control procedures are utilized.
  • Effectively control costs.
  • Actively participate in operational and HSE issues and planning.
  • Ensure all training needs are met and up to date for all subordinates.
  • Cooperate and communicate with clients, permit agents, drill crew, and recording crew to maximize efficiencies.
  • Participate in project start-up meetings and ensure an absolute understanding of all topics discussed.
  • Ensure all new personnel have been inspected using appropriate HSE checklists.
  • Ensure subordinates and subcontractors understand all Permit, Hydro Resources, and Client requirements and communication channels.
  • Ensure landowner, mineral owner, and/or tenant instructions/stipulations have been passed on to the necessary crews and personnel.
  • Supervise subordinates and subcontractors.
  • Organize and coordinate the daily activities of subordinates and subcontractors.
  • Inspect field operations for Quality Assurance.
  • Manage journey planning and execution.
  • Oversee maintenance, care, and inventory of all assigned equipment.
  • Ensure the field cargo trailer is kept clean and orderly, and all inventory is accounted for and available for each project.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork (daily reports, safety updates, etc.).
  • Inform Drilling/Pump Supervisor of any problems and/or concerns.
  • Actively participate in all safety/tailgate meetings.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to supervise and coordinate subordinates and subcontractors effectively.
  • Experience with operational planning, HSE compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills with clients, crews, and permit agents.
  • Ability to manage costs and resources efficiently.
  • Proficiency in equipment maintenance, inventory management, and field operations documentation.
