What does a trainee OSP design engineer do?

A Trainee OSP (Outside Plant) Design Engineer assists in planning, designing, and implementing telecommunications infrastructure that is located outside of buildings, such as fiber optic cables, conduits, and utility poles. They work under the supervision of experienced engineers to learn how to create detailed network layouts, use design software, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Their responsibilities often include conducting site surveys, preparing design documentation, and coordinating with construction teams.
