Field Services Technician

Job Description:

Are you a goal-oriented professional who has a passion for providing superior customer service? Then this role might be perfect for you! We are looking for a highly motivated Field Services Technician to join a great team and have a real impact on the business!

Responsibilities:

The Field Services Technician/Group is dispatched to customer sites for CPE installation, troubleshooting, and any other job that is required. An individual in this role would work to increase our customer and brand loyalty by acting as a liaison between Grid4 and our customers.

  • Install Routers, Switches, VoIP Phones, wireless systems and any other on-site in collaboration with the Turn Up Group and Technical Operations Group (TOC)
  • Test various equipment and circuits on-site, identify issues, and resolve any problems in equipment
  • Contact customers before dispatch to announce arrival at Local Contact; being a strong on-site representative for Grid4
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of trucks and service garage
  • Occasional use of Lift Equipment and work at heights
  • Frequent travel (local) / Occasional overnight stays

Qualifications, skills, and knowledge:

  • Previous experience in a relevant field
  • Valid Drivers license in good standing
  • Knowledge with Cisco equipment(ADTRAN experience preferred)
  • Inside wiring knowledge
  • Customer-first mindset with a strong get it done attitude
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Strong sense of personal accountability
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Adaptable, proactive problem-solver with an interest in technology
