Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Service Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting hardware and software deployments, coordinating device replacements, and assisting with largescale technology migrations. The Service Engineer installs workstations, networking equipment and other IT related devices while providing highquality onsite support to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in largescale technology migration projects in collaboration with Projects Engineers. Example: Supporting a companywide operating system upgrade or office technology rollout.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade workstations and peripherals for clients, ensuring proper setup and readiness Example: Imaging devices, installing required software, and validating network connectivity.
  • Provide onsite user education on basic device usage, security best practices, and selfservice troubleshooting Example: Assisting clients with MFA setup, VPN access, or ticket submission procedures.
  • Perform basic onsite troubleshooting, including network connectivity checks, Ethernet port locates, and peripheral diagnostics Example: Using a toner to trace a cable run or identifying a faulty switch port.
  • Contribute to process improvements by partnering with team members to refine deployment workflows and documentation Example: Updating workstation setup SOPs or improving imaging procedures.
  • Communicate with vendors and remote support teams to coordinate repairs, escalate issues, or manage equipment orders.
  • Use basic hand tools and deployment equipment such as ladders, drills, crimpers, and cable toners safely and effectively.
  • Participate in a rotating oncall schedule, typically once every six weeks, to provide afterhours support for escalations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT support, deployment, or field technician role
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (generally 2550 lbs) as needed for deployments
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
