The Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and operational support for the business within the Denver market. This role ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to Cherry's standards for safety, quality, and production.
Working closely with the City Leader, Project Managers, Field Managers, and Foremen, the Operations Manager provides hands-on operational leadership, develops field talent, allocates manpower, resolves project challenges, and builds strong relationships with employees, subcontractors, and general contractors.
This position is a key driver of operational excellence, team development, accountability, and continuous improvement within the city market.
Deep operations experience in commercial paint environments is required.

Responsibilities

- Meet regularly with general contractors to ensure Cherry is delivering on commitments, protecting project sequence, and proactively resolving issues.
- Attend project meetings to address:

- Ensure change order logs and extra work are properly documented, tracked, and collected.
- Review job cost sheets to ensure profitability and effective cost control.
- Conduct regular job walks with Project Managers and Field Managers to evaluate project performance and develop team members.
- Review scheduling of field staff to ensure projects are properly staffed and supported.
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and manage qualified subcontractors.
- Evaluate subcontractor capabilities and performance.
- Establish appropriate pay rates.
