Job description

Asset Protection Field Agent

STAFFORD SPRINGS, CT (87 WEST STAFFORD ROAD)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Asset Protection Field Agents will work with specific designated business units (usually 5-6 assigned store locations) providing recommendations for and assistance with the improvement of store gross profit and shrink performance particularly pertaining to intentional and unintentional theft. Their goal is to effect incremental positive movement in store profitability through training, awareness, compliance, communication, identification of process failure, store team development as well as theft prevention through apprehension and deterrence. The Asset Protection Field Agents are also responsible for maximizing employee and customer safety through ensuring adherence of company established training, tactics and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and apply sound judgment under any situation.
  • Education in Criminal Justice and/or asset protection experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow related state and federal laws, provisions and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain high degree of ethics, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks independently; self-motivated.
  • Be detail oriented, accurate and organized with good follow through skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to operate within and positively promote Company programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job demands and travel to Big Y locations.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and e-mail.
  • Must consent to and pass a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
