The Role
This position sits within Center of Enterprise Technology Analytics team supporting Enterprise Technology (ET) business units. The Senior Financial Analyst role consists of providing exceptional finance support and advice on expense management. The role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting spend, support the forecast and budgeting process, and deliver financial reviews to our business partners. The ideal candidate would partner with, and become an extended member of, the Decision Support team in support of the technology business. This could provide a future opportunity into a Decision Support role dependent on how well the associate can integrate and build their domain knowledge.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics with 5 plus years of related work experience. MBA preferred.
  • Applicants must have exceptional analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams are a must.
  • Your business maturity and presence to effectively interact with senior management.
  • Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence and ability to influence others across the company and build relationships.
  • Your ability to envision the 'big picture' while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Your solid understanding of financial principles and practical experience in applying this knowledge to business situations.

  • Developing financial analysis and reporting of business unit expenses including periodic reporting and analysis as well as month-end close processing and variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and related business commentary.
  • Supporting ongoing and ad-hoc analysis and developing practical recommendations, including scenario analysis.
  • Evaluating and improving IT financial management processes to meet changing business needs and efficiency goals.
  • Coaching and developing junior level analysts.

The Center of Enterprise Technology Analytics team provides oversight of IT expenses and provides management with informed, insightful, action-oriented financial analysis to guide effective decision-making.
Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
