Job Description:Principal Analyst, Fund Operations & Administration for Digital Assets

Note: Fidelitywill not provide immigration sponsorship forthis position.

The Role

This Principal Analyst role will support the Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) Digital Assets Product Area delivery team and will help to enable the delivery of a foundational Digital Assets operating model and platform by providing critical digital subject matter expertise and context around cryptocurrencies, tokenized products, and blockchain technology. The Principal Analyst will be a key contributor to initiatives with diverse scope and complexity, ranging from fund accounting to trade operations to fund administration, acting as the primary interface between business practitioners, customers, and product delivery teams while applying best-in-class business analysis tools, techniques, and methodologies.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.

  • A minimum of five years of related experience in Financial Services with demonstrated understanding of investment instruments, financial markets, blockchain technologies, the cryptocurrency regulatory landscape, and the digital asset ecosystem.

  • Outstanding knowledge of operations of digital products including cryptocurrencies, tokens, and requirements related to using a blockchain for recording of capital and portfolio transactions for both registered and pooled investment funds.

  • Prior experience with asset management back-office operations and mutual fund accounting including experience with FIS Invest One and SS&C Geneva accounting systems is highly desired.

  • Must be able to analyze complex and ambiguous issues, recommending creative solutions with clear and concise presentations.

  • Proven expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce supporting artifacts, such as process flows, context diagrams, UI wireframes, requirements, cross-domain dependencies, and business rules.

  • Affinity for data; where to get it, how to use it, what it means.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully to influence others.

The Team

The Business Unit: Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial documents, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.

Product Area: FFIO Digital Assets Product Area is at the center of all transformation happening in FFIO to enable Fidelity to launch new digital assets offering in the marketplace. We work with all other product areas and provide subject matter expertise on Digital Assets domain. We represent FFIO on everything Digital Assets. We make sure that FFIO does not have to incur manual debt as we launch newer products in the market.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
