Job description

The Role:
This position identifies and receives inbound non-ferrous metals to be recycled from the general public. This process is done by weighing material, inputting the correct commodity code into the system and then putting the material in its proper location. This position will also help with the further processing in the NF warehouse.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Provide great customer service at our retail scale by providing prompt service, weighing material and properly inspecting & identifying material.
  • Correctly enter customer and product information into our system.
  • Complete and process customer’s transaction to issue appropriate payment
  • Learn and operate machines (forklift, balers, shaker table, etc.) to help with the recycling process.
  • Work in a warehouse type environment subject to the elements.

ABOUT YOU

  • Ability to pass Company’s credit check requirement for this position.
  • Previous Customer Service Experience, required
  • Previous Warehouse Experience, preferred
  • Previous Metal Scrap Experience, preferred
  • Preferred Experience: Background in non-ferrous (NF) and ferrous metals, scrap, shredders, supervisory or leadership roles, or operations/team lead/manager positions
