You'll Support Meaningful Work By:
  • Managing a production division from raw steel to finished product across all shifts
  • Overseeing activities within the value stream and integrating people and equipment to meet production schedules
  • Supervising and effectively managing team members and products while leveraging policies, procedures, and company strategies to meet commitments
  • Collaborating with the Superintendent to control costs using budgets and cost-reduction programs
  • Driving employee performance, influencing employment decisions, and ensuring proper training for efficiency and safety
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and supporting the Steelcase Employee Performance System (SEPS) with appropriate documentation
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and culture

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent significant experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment across multiple shifts
  • Ability to work flexible 1st Shift schedule including possible weekends
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing, quality systems, and safety requirements
  • Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience with production scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting output targets
  • Familiarity with cost control, budgeting, and implementing cost-reduction initiatives
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and time management under pressure with changing priorities

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing supervising 20-30+ employees
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Experience leading operations teams in a Raw Metal Fabrication environment
