About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team, focused on building the Nimble's Robotics platform that powers our robotics applications. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of software development projects including design, implementation, automated testing, field testing, and deployment support.
Responsibilities
  • Board bring-up and maintenance on embedded ARM system (Device Trees, Bootloader, Kernel Drivers)
  • Design, implement and maintain system flashing process used in both manufacturing and development scenarios.
  • Design, implement and maintain system and firmware OTA process.
  • Customize vendor drivers to support and enhance Nimble's robotics applications.
  • Drive software engineering best practices across the team by producing high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code and raising the bar in reviews.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to improving team processes and technical standards.
  • Participate in and often lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning sessions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong self learning and improvement mindset.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Rust, C, C++.
  • Experience with Linux kernel development
  • Good understanding of computer networking
  • Experience with uboot, EDK2, platform firmware, UEFI etc
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Nice to have
  • Experience with Rust
  • Familiarity with CUDA libraries and applications
  • Familiarity with Nvidia Jeston Platform
  • Familiarity WiFi protocols

Compensation
The salary range for this position at the start of employment is expected to bebetween $180,000 and $250,000/year. Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, this position will also receive generous equity for this position.
