Job description

Description

Eastport Analytics is seeking a strategic, client-focused Director of Federal Consulting to lead stakeholder engagement, drive organic account growth, and ensure delivery excellence across our federal mission portfolio. Reporting to the Founder and CEO, you will serve as a senior client-facing leader, overseeing multiple engagements, mentoring consulting staff, and scaling our account management organization. This role is central to our next phase of growth, requiring a leader who can balance trusted advisor status with operational discipline and talent development in a fast-moving federal consulting environment.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience leading and developing consulting, client services, or account management teams within the federal services space, success growing federal client accounts, and expertise operating within complex mission environments. Strong stakeholder engagement and mission-focused account leadership experience are critical to this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership & Account Development: Lead account management and growth strategies; serve as a senior relationship manager to build trusted partnerships and drive organic growth through proactive opportunity identification, capture strategy, and proposal development.
  • Delivery Leadership & Mission Execution: Oversee delivery governance and execution to ensure high-impact results and client satisfaction; translate complex mission objectives into scalable technical and analytical solutions in partnership with engineering leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Workforce Development: Directly supervise and mentor consultants, with a specific focus on identifying and grooming future account leaders; foster a high-performance culture and mature our internal career development frameworks.
  • Strategic Operations: Develop and implement reusable mission concepts, optimize internal service processes, and partner with executive leadership on company growth strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning.

Requirements

  • Twelve+ years in federal services consulting, account management, client delivery leadership, and/or engagement oversight.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing client-facing consulting teams while managing stakeholder relationships and delivery execution within complex federal mission environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading client engagement and account growth activities to manage and expand federal client accounts valued between $3M-$10M+ within complex mission environments.
  • Strong understanding of federal program delivery and experience partnering with technical teams to deliver analytical or mission-support solutions.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, relationship management, and organizational leadership capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent advanced experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination; U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
  • Requires an in-person presence in the Washington, D.C. area for client engagement and leadership collaboration; local DMV candidates preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience with a consulting organization supporting federal mission domains-such as Treasury, DOJ, or IRS compliance, enforcement, and investigative programs-with a focus on operational analytics rather than solely enterprise IT modernization.
  • Experience building or scaling account management functions within professional services organizations.
  • Proven background driving organic growth and client expansion in mission-focused environments.
