Job description

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our sales team as a Fastener Salesperson.

This position is designed to provide hands-on training and professional development in the industrial fastener industry. Under the guidance of experienced sales professionals, the trainee will gain knowledge of products, customer relationship management, and the sales cycle. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in industrial sales or someone who is already familiar and wants to build a career with a family company!

Duties

  • Learn and understand the companyโ€™s range of fastener products, applications, and industries served.
  • Shadow experienced sales representatives during customer interactions and site visits.
  • Support the preparation of quotes, sales orders, and product specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and care.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • The ability to lift 40+lbs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience Preferred

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and practices is a plus.
