Description:

The Group Vice President, reporting to the North American Components President. Activities and responsibilities of the Group Vice President include:

  • Responsible for the financial & commercial performance of the division (P&L)
  • Provide oversight of all branch management personnel in support of both large customer VMI Programs and transactional customers by maintaining best in class service levels across the division
  • Accountable for to coordinating divisional and corporate resources to support divisional growth initiatives
  • Train and support team members in problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action techniques
  • Provide mentoring, development, and support for 2 direct reports and 7 indirect reports.
  • Align regional priorities with corporate strategy.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service levels.
  • Remove organizational barriers and resolve significant escalations.

Primary Measures:

  • Regional revenue and profitability.
  • Customer retention/growth.
  • Execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Efficient and timely new business launches

Professional Experience:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Business Management / Finance preferred)
  • MBA preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of general management experience in the fastener industry or a similar high volume distribution environment
  • Ability to read and understand financial documents (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other Business tools. (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, BI, etc.)
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills and the ability to effectively interact at all levels of customer, supplier, and company organizations
