POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Global Sourcing & Purchasing Analyst to join our Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, willing to take initiative, and interested in building a long-term career in sourcing, purchasing, and supply-chain management. This position will provide day-to-day operational and administrative support across global purchasing, supplier coordination, order management, logistics, inventory, and new product activities.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn. Previous supply chain or purchasing experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, responsive, willing to help wherever needed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Purchase Order & System Support

  • Create, issue, and track purchase orders in the ERP/MRP system based on direction from the Global Sourcing Buyer/Planner.
  • Confirm order acknowledgements, pricing, and delivery dates with suppliers; flag discrepancies for review.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier, items, and purchasing data within the ERP system.
  • Monitor open order reports and proactively follow up on outstanding confirmations, dates, and documentation.

Supplier Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for routine supplier communications, order status updates, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on shipment readiness, documentation requests, and sample logistics.
  • Help schedule and prepare materials for supplier calls and business reviews.
  • Escalate supplier issues or delays to the Global Sourcing Buyer/Planner in a timely manner.

Data, Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets for open orders, lead times, shipment status, and supplier KPIs.
  • Support basic cost, PPV, and landed-cost tracking by gathering and organizing data for the Buyer/Planner’s analysis.
  • Pull and organize reports from the ERP system to support forecasting, planning, and sourcing decisions.
  • Help keep supplier scorecards and performance trackers (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness) current.

Sample & New Product Coordination

  • Track sample requests, approvals, and timelines; follow up with suppliers to keep samples on schedule.
  • Assist with organizing and logging incoming samples, photos, and specification documents.
  • Support new product introduction timelines by keeping checklists and trackers updated.

Logistics & Documentation Support

  • Assist with gathering and organizing shipping documents, customs paperwork, and compliance records.
  • Monitor shipment tracking and flag potential delays to the Buyer/Planner and logistics partners.
  • Help maintain organized digital files for POs, contracts, supplier documentation, and correspondence.

General Support

  • Perform other sourcing, purchasing, logistics, planning, reporting, or supply-chain duties as assigned.
  • Support special projects and changing business priorities as directed.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, International Trade, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.  
  • Previous internship, co-op or work experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, inventory, customer service, operations, or data coordination is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with an ERP, MRP, purchasing, or inventory-management system is helpful but not required.
  • Strong analytical capabilities. Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, reports, and detailed documentation.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Salary Range: $57,500 - $68,000 plus bonus eligibility
