Group Leader - Beverly

Job Description:

Flexible Support Services is seeking a Youth Group Leader to provide creative and individualized services to youth (ages 6-22). We strive to mentor and support youth in developing increased independence, self-confidence, positive peer relationships, and to navigate conflict resolution.

Youth Group Leaders will have an opportunity to plan and co-facilitate groups that focus on social and emotional skill building, community integration, psychoeducation and vocational preparation.  We offer monthly clinical training, specific training in trauma informed care “Risking Connections' ' and a supportive team environment.  The ideal candidate is a team player that is creative, organized, flexible, compassionate, and motivated to help youth meet their goals.

Youth Group Leader responsibilities are:

  • Provide therapeutic mentoring or group interventions to youth and families within the community.

  • Provide and/or arrange transportation for clients to attend groups.

  • Collaborate, as appropriate, with other providers and natural supports of youth and families

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation to reflect services provided.

  • Maintain group schedule as assigned.

  • Build and adjust the schedule as necessary to meet the needs of the clients served. (afternoon/evening hours required)

Qualifications:

  • A qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field from an accredited university/college and 6 months experience working with children/adolescents/transition aged youth/families.

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable vehicle and willingness to transport persons served.

Schedule: Per diem

Pay Range:

$22.00 - $26.82

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
