Job description

DMV Restorations, Inc. is a multi-family leader, Class A General Contractor specializing in remodeling and restoration services within the Commercial and Residential sectors. We are seeking an upstanding, enthusiastic, and experienced Residential Estimator who can become a part of and grow within our company.

This successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and creation of accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. This individual will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions that will enhance its profitability and growth. Building and maintaining relationships with our clients is a must!

Job Responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • Determine key variables for cost and other estimates;
  • Estimate budget costs for residential projects by studying plans and specifications;
  • Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, project duration times etc.;
  • Resolve cost differences by analyzing and collecting info;
  • Write up and present budgets, reports, and project plans;
  • Develop bids for residential projects;
  • Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, clients, bidding competitions, etc.;
  • Schedule meetings with clients, site managers, and staff;
  • Navigate and understand building codes;
  • Process paperwork and travels to building sites as required;
  • Provide consultation on planning (schedules, labor, etc.);
  • Stay up to date with safety codes and improvements in the residential sector.
  • Travel to and from client sites located in the DMV.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Residential/Construction Estimator or similar position;
  • Familiarity with financial and project management principles;
  • In depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas;
  • Exquisite math and IT ability with an analytical mindset;
  • Proficient in XactAnalysis, Xactimate is required!
  • Utilize measuring tools;
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities;
  • Thoroughness and reliability;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, construction science or relevant discipline is a Plus!
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus!

***Total compensation package is based on salary plus commissions (no cap) earned. Individual yearly average earnings potential in this position can be $120k.

***Base salary is commensurate with current certifications held and field-related work experience.
