About Our Family
We are a busy, warm, and high-energy household in the West Houston / Memorial area. Both parents work full-time in demanding careers - one with an office just minutes away, the other commuting across the city. Our home is the kind of place where the calendar is always full, the house is lively, and there is never a dull moment. We have two spirited, energetic boys who bring so much joy and keep life interesting. One of our sons has unique learning and sensory needs, and we are deeply committed to supporting him in every area of life - from appointments and routines to simply making sure he feels safe, loved, and celebrated for exactly who he is.
Our extended family is a real and active presence in our home. Grandma and auntie are deeply involved in the kids' daily lives and regularly handle after-school pickups and afternoon time together. Whoever joins our team will naturally be coordinating and building a warm relationship with them as well - they are part of the fabric of this household.
This role is about the day-to-day rhythm and managing the details that fall through the cracks when two working parents are running at full speed. We are a progressive, values-forward household and we are looking for someone who shares that spirit. We want to walk through the door to a calm, reset home and trust that someone capable and confident is helping us get there.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are the kind of person who walks into a room and spots what needs to be done without being asked. You are self-sufficient, proactive, and confident in your work - you see a problem, handle it if you can, and loop in the family when a decision is needed. You genuinely enjoy being around kids and bring warmth and ease to every interaction, meeting each child where they are and making them feel seen and loved. You are comfortable in a lively, talkative household and enjoy that energy. You understand what it means to support a neurodivergent child and you do so with patience, consistency, and without judgment.
You communicate directly and efficiently, and you do not take it personally when your employer is moving fast and being brief. You understand the balance between being a trusted part of the family and maintaining professional boundaries. You are organized and systems-minded, thinking ahead so things do not have to be asked twice. You take real ownership of your role and pride in the work you do.
