  • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license and clean driving record; a dedicated family vehicle is provided for work use.
  • Fragrance-free in the home.

About Our Family

We are a welcoming and active family of four based in Houston's West University area. Both parents are working professionalsone full-time outside the home and one part-time from a home officeand we are raising two energetic, curious boys.

Our older son has neurodivergent needs; he participates in several weekly therapies and flourishes with calm, empathetic, and consistent support. Our younger son is in preschool and will transition to full days later in the school year.

As our boys have grown, our household needs have evolved, and we are seeking someone who can blend thoughtful, engaging childcare with strong household management. With a twice-weekly housekeeper, weekly landscaper, and a roster of trusted vendors in place, this role focuses on coordination, follow-through, and ensuring the home runs smoothly every day.

We value privacy and discretion; we take confidentiality seriously and expect the same from anyone joining our team. We are warm, collaborative, and treat our household staff as valued members of our extended family. If you are rooted in professionalism, respect, and a shared commitment to helping our home thrive, we'd love to meet you.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is organized and proactive by nature, and able to read the room. You know that laundry and school pickups come before reorganizing the pantry on the hierarchy list, and you prioritize core daily tasks before adding your own personal touch to things. You are punctual and you respect the natural rhythms of a household where someone is working from home with the door closed.

With the kids, you bring patience, calm energy, and genuine care. You understand that one of our boys has neurodivergent needs and you approach that with empathy, flexibility, and a measured demeanor. You are safety-conscious without being anxious: helmets, car seats, and pool supervision are non-negotiables to you. You naturally encourage independence in children rather than doing everything for them and, ideally, have some familiarity with Montessori principles.

You communicate concisely - a quick text over a long story - and you don't need constant check-ins or hand-holding to stay on task. You model healthy habits around children without being rigid, and you bring professionalism and discretion to everything you do.
