Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our President of Memorial Hospital Hixson, you will be responsible for implementing the strategic direction set forth by the CommonSpirit strategic plan.
Every day, you will connect the elements of the local health care delivery system including CommonSpirit Memorial Hixson facilities, vendors and partners to increase the effectiveness of care delivery and population health management. The President is the public face of CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Hixson in the community embodying the mission of CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Hixson to its constituents.
To be successful in this role, you will provide leadership to the overall operational management for a CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Hixson facility (or multiple facilities) in a market in accordance with the mission, vision and values of CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Hixson and the Board of Trustees. As the CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Hixson President assists and advises the Market President in strategic planning, business development, implementing organizational procedures and processes, and analysis of opportunities for expanding or discontinuing lines of business. Also serves as the physician liaison, patient advisory council, and provider recruitment contact.
Responsibilities:
  • Optimizes Quality, Safety, and the Patient Experience in Partnership with Physicians
  • Optimizes Clinical Operations and Delivers Value to the Community
  • Serves as a leader in forwarding the goals of CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Hixson in the community
  • Maintains open, honest, and timely communications to the facility's (or facilities') many and varied public stakeholders including the community, employees, medical staff and Board of Directors
  • Communicates and collaborates with board members and organization officials to ensure efficient facility functioning
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of an annual facility (facilities) budget that supports the overall strategic plans and aligns to expectations of CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Hixson

Job Requirements
Required:
  • Master's Degree or Post Graduate Degree and
  • At least 7 years' progressive experience in health care administration and management in a complex organization that includes experiences in multiple departments within a hospital

Preferred:
  • Certified Healthcare Executive (FACHE)
