Job Title: Retail Sales Associate – Quilt & Fabric Store
Location: Grace Company, 6748 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84084
Pay: $17–$20/hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time (Retail)
Store Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule Note: Occasional evenings required (1–2 times per month for events such as quilt guilds)

Job Summary

Grace Company is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our Quilt Store team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys sales, customer service, and working in a creative retail environment.

You'll help customers select fabric, notions, quilting supplies, and Grace Company and TrueCut products while creating a welcoming, supportive experience for quilters and makers of all skill levels. Training is provided - quilting expertise is a plus, but not required.

What You'll Do

  • Assist customers with product selection, purchases, and general quilting questions
  • Drive in-store sales through great customer service and product recommendations
  • Operate the cash register and process daily sales transactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space
  • Restock inventory and keep fabric and notion displays neat and accessible
  • Learn Grace Company quilting frames, machines, and TrueCut tools (training provided)
  • Support set-up and tear-down for in-store events, including evening quilt guild meetings
  • Provide basic usage guidance for quilting tools and machines (training provided)
  • Assist with occasional product demos or workshops
  • Work collaboratively with the store team to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

What We're Looking For

  • Interest in quilting, sewing, crafting, or creative retail (preferred)
  • Previous retail sales or customer service experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude
  • Willingness to learn product details and confidently assist customers
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Reliable and punctual, with flexibility for occasional evening shifts

Schedule & Compensation

  • Typical Shifts: Monday–Saturday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 11:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Occasional evening shifts for guilds and special events (until 9:00–10:00 PM)
  • Full-time retail position
  • Pay: $17–$20/hour based on experience
