Job description

Fabric Intern - Hanes Companies 
Location: Conover, NC
Reports To: Kayla King
Overview
The Fabric Intern will support Hanes Companies in Conover, NC by improving the organization, accessibility, and consistency of both physical and digital materials used across the business. This role works closely with project and product management teams to streamline sample inventory, standardize project folders, assemble sales tools, and support hands-on project coordination tasks. This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, building efficient systems, and supporting teams through practical, high-impact work. The intern will gain foundational experience in how projects move from concept to execution, making this a strong opportunity for anyone interested in project management or product development.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Inventory Organization (Decorative)
• Audit existing vendor samples and categorize them by vendor, type, project, or material.
• Remove outdated or damaged samples and reorganize storage areas for clarity and efficiency.
• Label shelves, bins, and containers using a consistent naming and numbering system.
• Participate in inventory analysis and assist with moving sample inventory between locations.
Project Support
• Ship samples to vendor partners or customers and track delivery status.
• Review lab dips for accuracy, quality, and alignment with project requirements.
• Assist in reviewing cost stacks and gathering supporting documentation.
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure project materials and samples are delivered where and when they are needed.
Project Folder Standardization
• Sort and organize physical and digital project folders.
• Archive older projects according to retention guidelines.
• Ensure project materials are complete, easy to locate, and simple to maintain.
Sales Tools and Binder Assembly
• Assemble physical binders for the sales team with updated product sheets, samples, and reference materials.
• Organize digital versions of sales tools in shared drives using clear naming conventions.
Qualifications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Comfortable working with physical materials and digital file systems.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams.
• Interest in project management, product development, or operations is a plus.
