Job description

Position: Purchasing/Inventory Specialist
Location: Estero, FL
Pay: $22–25/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible hours between 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing/Inventory Specialist to support a growing construction-related office team in Estero. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, working with vendors, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting office operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory

  • Organize and reconcile weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory counts
  • Create pull sheets for stock and material usage based on confirmed material lists
  • Maintain accurate inventory documentation and records

Ordering & Purchasing

  • Obtain quotes from vendors for materials and special-order items
  • Place orders upon approval and track deliveries
  • Verify incoming orders and generate purchase orders for accounting
  • Maintain communication with vendors regarding timelines and discrepancies

Concrete Coordination

  • Request estimates from vendors based on approved scopes of work
  • Coordinate meetings between internal teams and subcontractors
  • Supply documentation related to concrete requirements and scheduling
  • Place concrete orders and generate corresponding purchase orders

File & Documentation Management

  • Maintain and organize customer and subcontractor folders
  • File contracts, material sheets, and breakdown documentation
  • Submit breakdowns to accounting and scan files into electronic systems
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in purchasing, inventory, administrative support, or construction coordination preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Comfortable learning new software and systems; AI experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Friendly, professional, and team-oriented personality
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy office environment
