Position Summary
The Support Manager, Export Documentation provides a foundation of problem solving, knowledge and expertise in front line interaction meeting customer needs as well as interaction with other locations and processes within CMA CGM & APL. This position addresses problems requiring management level interaction, logistical analysis, and empowerment. The Support Manager, Export Documentation provides a foundation of problem solving, knowledge and expertise in front line interaction meeting customer needs as well as interaction with other locations and processes within CMA CGM & APL. This position addresses problems requiring management level interaction, logistical analysis, and empowerment. 

Functions & Duties
   Monitor Reps activity to ensure container incidents, special customer issues and import/export idles shipments are being resolved in a timely manner.     
   Address grievances with the workforce to solve issues.    
   Manage performance of team through annual performance evaluations and corrective action.    
   Provides training consultation to new hires in the areas of Export Documentation and all process updates, updating SOP and maintaining current and accurate training documentation in SharePoint    
   Provide problem resolution in short, shipped containers. When to issue a memo bill of lading, misrouting of the cargo, in this case a manifest must be issued to the customs and port authorities and to ensure costs are kept as a minimum. All internal departments are advised when completed to follow the Memo SOP. Liaising with the SSC to ensure the creation of the Memo BL is accurate.    
   Provides resolution for CMA CGM Export Bonds approvals, maintaining a positive relationship with internal partners and external contacts under difficult timelines, AES system access to monitor approved bonds and closure 2 days after sailing.    
   Makes decisions concerning CMA CGM Magic blank paper ordering, tracking, and tracing, and to ensure all parties for collection and distribution is completed smoothly, liaising with HOMRS, CEVA Logistics and internal departments.    
   Takes initiative and acts to approve LARA status updates, RAD forms, Partner Codes, Standing Instruction, Customer Profile Updates, PGL forms and other processes which need approval to move the workflow to complete.    
   Provides information and monitoring history of events for Customer Complaints, DDSM / HO MRS approval and Customs Fines, logging errors.    
   Provides Vessel Calendar / Daily task list consultation for internal departments and co-ordination with terminals, coastal and schedule updates to ensure the CMA CGM are manifesting Export Documentation to governments in a timely manner and customers have the correct information. Provides advanced knowledge of routes and alternative routes including a thorough knowledge of terminals and Country Rules and Regulations. Schedule updates need to be reflected / monitored in the schedule and task list and uploaded on SharePoint sites.

At American President Lines, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The expected salary range for this position is $67,000 - $84,000 per year. The actual salary offered will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
