Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Graduate Assistant, General Education and Experiential Learning will support the work of the Dean of General Education in the oversight of all aspects of the General Education curriculum. This position will also support implementation of the Experiential Learning requirement at Lewis University.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Assist in web site development for General Education and Experiential Learning.
-Assist in development, dissemination, collection and distribution of electronic application processes for Gen Ed and Experiential Learning
-Work with the Dean of General Education, Registrar's Office, Provost's Office, college Dean's Offices and others on coordinating course scheduling for Gen Ed and Experiential Learning courses.
-Assist in record-keeping for purposes of Gen Ed assessment, course scheduling and other purposes.
-Be responsive to inquiries from faculty, staff or others on a regular basis.
-Other related duties as assigned, which may include clerical/administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Must be enrolled, and maintain satisfactory progress in one of Lewis University's graduate programs. Must possess initiative, self-motivation and be detail-oriented. Must possess an excellent knowledge of the English language, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. Must be familiar with Microsoft programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Web design.
