Expediter


About the Role


The Expediting position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.


Responsibilities


  • Administration, monitoring and tracking of major equipment, minor equipment and bulk materials per the terms and conditions of purchase order and maintain schedule.
  • Expediting of supplier data working and assisting engineering to ensure timely submittal and return of documents to maintain schedule.
  • Setting up and conducting meetings with project team and suppliers.
  • Maintaining detailed files and records for each purchase order.
  • Updating and maintaining the expediting status report, using the Integrated Project Management System (IPMS) and using Documentum to monitor and track the status of data and drawings.
  • Assisting construction on Overages, shortages, damaged, and quarantined equipment.
  • Assisting accounts payable confirming milestones have been met for payment.
  • Supervision of sub-ordinate staff of expediters assigned to the project.


Qualifications


  • A degree in business or supply chain management is acceptable but not required.


Required Skills


  • Basic computer skills, knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Effective skills in communication; being able to conduct regular scheduled meetings and conference calls with the project team and suppliers.
  • Managing and training of sub-ordinate staff of expediters assigned to the project.


Travel both domestic and international may be required to confirm status of equipment and material.
