Job description

 Requisition ID:          66313 Title: Audio-Visual Exhibits Technician Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $22.25 Salary Maximum:  $32.25

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education. Arthrex Inc. is actively searching for an Audio Visual Exhibit Technician to work in conjunction with our Audio-Visual Technicians and Exhibit Planning Specialist. This person will help design, install and operate Audio-Visual systems for exhibits, including projection, sound systems, lighting and video displays. This position will be located at our Denver, CO campus. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the rigging of AV equipment, ensuring all installations are safe and secure.
  • Collaborate with the exhibits design team to integrate AV components seamlessly into the overall exhibit structure and work with local labor.
  • Provide on-site technical support during events and exhibitions, addressing any AV-related issues promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep an inventory of AV and Rigging equipment as well as manage the procurement of new equipment as needed.
  • Work closely with exhibit designers, curators and other stakeholders to understand AV requirements and deliver high-quality installations.
  • Train staff on the proper use of AV equipment and safety protocols related to rigging.
  • Maintain detailed records of AV setups, rigging plans, and equipment maintenance.
  • Prepare reports on AV system performance and suggest improvements or upgrades as necessary.
  • 60% travel is required for tradeshow exhibits.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in audio-visual setup and operation, with a strong background in rigging required
  • Certification in rigging (e.g., ETCP Certified Rigger) is highly desirable
  • Additional certifications in AV technology or related fields are a plus

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Experience with lighting consoles
  • Rigging equipment
  • Load calculations
  • Rigging design

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Vectorworks and Braceworks. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Language and Communication Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
