Job description

Position Details

  • Hybrid work schedule: 4-days in office and 1-day remote.
  • Work location may be Chatsworth or Pico Rivera.

Specializes in pipeline and equipment corrosion. Knowledge of pipeline integrity procedures and systems. Responsible for monitoring platforms corrosion and maintaining mitigation policies. Maintains pipeline integrity by carrying out cathodic protection programs. Implements and updates corrosion strategies, arranges material investigations. May be responsible for maintenance and repair of cathodic protection systems, pigging operations, coordination of pipeline service and in-line inspection, and ensuring documentation and records are maintained.


Top Skills Desired

  • Demonstrated experience in Fitness-for-Service evaluations for corrosion, dents, and crack features (e.g., API-579, CorLAS, RSTRENG, MAT-8, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of ILI and Direct Assessment (DA), Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) methods/practices, and pipeline repair. Includes evaluation and decisions based on assessment data.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good relationship building and communication skills.

Educational Requirements

BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering required. NACE CP1 Certification highly desired.

Level III Responsibilities

5-8 Years of Experience. Responsible for the design, modeling, development, and testing of a machine, structure, or system. Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles. Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure, or system operates. Designs and tests components and integrates components to produce the final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes. Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
