Strategic Engagements Coordinator
Please note: This position is contingent upon the award of a contract. We will provide updates on the status of the contract and next steps during the hiring process.
Minimum Qualifications Summary
Certification amp; Education
  • Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
  • Must be able to meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements available under the OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01 and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
  • Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance
  • Higher Education degree in Marketing, Communication or related field preferred
Experience Required
  • Experience planning, coordinating and managing conferences
  • Experience creating strategic engagement strategies and plans for the Department of Defense preferred
  • Experience writing Executive-level talking points, scene setters, and biographies preferred
  • Mastery-level experience writing in the English language preferred
  • Marine Corps/military experience preferred at Regiment or Brigade level and higher
  • Strong writing, analytical, and reading skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate
  • Ten years' military experience
Job Objective
Under a five-year contract, the Strategic Engagements Coordinator will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The scope of the requirement includes professional services for MARCENT located aboard MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, which serves as a Component Command to U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM). Specifically, the Strategic Engagements Coordinator will support the Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5) within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The G-5 assists and advises the COMUSMARCENT in joint-level and service-level planning, deliberate planning, crisis action planning, force deployment planning, Information Operations (IO), Special Technical Operations (STO)/Special Access Programs (SAP), command strategy and policy generation, doctrine review and analysis, Naval, command relationships, componency, security cooperation, CENTCOM exercises, Key Leader Engagement (KLE), operational assessments, and requirements development, validation, and prioritization.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Key Leader Engagement (KLE) coordination services
  • Assist in the management of the MARCENT KLE Program
  • Coordinate with the CENTCOM TSC Branch, KLE Branch, and the Commander’s Action Group (CAG) to ensure that MARCENT KLEs are nested with the CENTCOM CDR’s priorities and themes by country
  • Maintain MARCENT KLE related web pages, historical files, and other required documentation
  • Assist the KLE Officer in preparing KLE plans and coordinate all requirements for COMUSMARCENT AOR trips
  • Maintain oversight of all HQ Marine Corps KLE's to the CENTCOM AOR. Provide planning and tracking of COMUSMARCENT AOR KLEs and National Capitol Region (NCR) KLEs
  • Assist in preparing Trip Books for the Commander and Staff, to include talking points, scene setters, biographies, and AARs
  • Prepare thank you notes and maintain historical files for all completed KLEs. Coordinate KLE quarterly reviews with the MARCENT SC Branch to ensure the KLE program is in line with SC goals and requirements
  • Update and track all KLE actions reflected on the CENTCOM KLE Portal and Calendar and upload all KLE readouts and AARs in a timely manner
  • Attend planning conferences and working groups
  • Provide In Progress Reviews (IPRs) on planning efforts to COMUSMARCENT, develop assessments, briefs, information papers, and standard naval messages
  • Support the planning, coordinating and managing of conferences as well as supporting internal MARCENT working groups
Education amp; Certification
  • Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.

  • Travel: Contractor personnel must support the projected travel in support of government requirements to MARCENT AOR and supporting locations, which includes but not limited to the following countries: Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Djibouti, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, and Greece. The ideal candidate will be available for travel on less than 24 hours-notice to support personnel recovery and training for forward deployed forces. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to execute OCONUS travel throughout the Central Command (CENTCOM) AOR.
