Job Summary:
The Yard Disposition employee will periodically review and assess any and all material that needs dispositioning. Grinding, Crop Ends, and re-stenciling and any cosmetic issues on the pipe. The pipe will be repaired to prime if possible and returned to inventory.
Skills and Abilities:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
GED or a minimum of one year of experience in Pipe Yard operations.
Visibility of work requires attention to detail, good organizational skills.
Employee must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time and weekends when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform the physical activities to the pipes that are under quarantine to make them prime. The activities are utilizing flame cutting equipment, angle grinders, id grinders, beveling tools. All tools provided by PTC .
Reporting and investigating Non-conformances/ Quarantine
Help problem solve for any quality issues in inventory.
Provide daily numbers and reports for any quarantine movements and decisions.
Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.
