Job description

Qualifications:

  • We are looking for LPNs with a passion for working with seniors in our assisted living and memory care community.
  • Provides quality care to the residents and supervises the nursing activities performed by Care Associates and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Admits, transfers, and discharges residents, as needed with the guidance of the Director of Wellness.
  • Prepares and administers medications, as ordered by the Physician.
  • Must have staff supervisory and medication oversight experience, preferably in an assisted living, memory care, nursing home, or similar environment
  • May administer professional services such as; applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs and care for the dead/dying, as required.
  • Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
  • Assist as necessary in our community.
  • Must be caring, reliable, and observant with an understanding of MAR's and doctors' orders
  • It's essential to excel in prioritizing, multitasking, and working independently.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, and Wellness Director.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Six months to one year experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Memory Care experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • LPN Licensure by the State of Louisiana
  • CPR Certification

Pay from $27.50 per hour.
