The Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership, formerly the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, is searching for its next President and Chief Executive Officer.The Partnership is the regional economic development organization for Louisiana's nine-parish Capital Region. We represent more than 500 business investors and work to expand economic opportunity, strengthen the talent pipeline, support business growth and industry diversification, advance competitive public policy, and improve quality of place across the region.This is a national search. Local candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.Why this role matters right nowOur current five-year strategy, BRING IT! Baton Rouge, ends at the close of 2026. The next President and CEO will work with the Board of Directors, investors, staff, and regional partners to set the organization's next strategic direction. You are not stepping into a caretaker job. You are setting the plan.What you will doLead the organization's strategy, operations, staff, and budget, subject to Board direction.Serve as a leading public voice for the Capital Region with business leaders, elected officials, media, and national partners.Set and drive the regional business community's public policy and advocacy agenda at the local, state, and federal levels.Build and manage relationships with more than 500 investors and with regional, state, and federal partners.Lead the development of the organization's next economic development strategic plan.Manage roughly 8 direct reports and a staff of 30 across six business units.Oversee an operating budget of about $8 million and remain accountable to the Board for sound financial management.The President and CEO reports to the Board of Directors through the Board Chairperson.What we are looking forAt least 10 years of executive leadership experience in an organization of comparable size and complexity.Working knowledge of economic development, public policy, business leadership, chamber leadership, or a related field. IEDC or ACCE background preferred.A track record of results in a complex environment with many stakeholders.Experience managing a large board and investor or member relationships.A credible public voice, with real experience in government relations and advocacy.Full budget ownership experience, including nonprofit financial compliance.Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
