Job description

Position Summary 

As a dedicated and results-driven Senior Business Development Account Executive, you will play a vital role in growing Partner Tier Accounts across all sales channels of the dietary supplement industry. Senior Business Development Account Executives are responsible for building a high revenue value, personal book of business by engaging both existing and new customers with Premier Research Labs.  

Essential Functions 

Client Acquisition: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for acquiring and managing both domestic and international partner accounts, including distributors, retailers, brand owners, and healthcare professionals. 

  • Log all calls, emails, Teams Meetings, lead qualifications, and opportunities in Salesforce. 

  • Collaborate with Sales and Sales Operations Leadership and be prepared to discuss opportunity status to support product and revenue forecasts. 

  • Drive the entire sales lifecycle from initial identification and qualification to negotiation and close, ensuring a robust pipeline through outbound and inbound lead sources. 

  • Attain agreed upon and required sales quota.  

Sales Presentation Expertise: 

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to potential clients. 

  • Effectively communicate the value and benefits of our dietary supplement products. 

  • Engage our R&D, Product Specialists, and Executive Team as needed to help close deals. 

Client Relationship Expertise: 

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers keeping them updated on product, pricing, promotional information; and customer facing educational material developed by PRL Marketing/PRL Branding. 

Partner Development: 

  • Create and implement strategies to increase sales, cross-sell products, and drive revenue growth within acquired accounts.  

  • Design and implement targeted marketing initiatives in partnership with the marketing team to support sales efforts within key accounts. 

  • Work with marketing to customize promotional materials, educational content, and product information for client-facing use. 

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and expanding product offerings. 

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create joint business plans that drive revenue growth and enhance brand presence. 

Contract & Partnership Negotiation: 

  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract agreements with partner prospects. 

  • Ensure that contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements. 

  • Work with Sales and Manufacturing Operations to agree all contract SOWs (Statements of Work) and exhibits. 

Market Insights: 

  • Stay informed about domestic and international market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes in the dietary supplement industry. 

  • Gather and provide crucial market feedback to inform product development, marketing strategies, and overall business direction. 

  • Maintain a deep understanding of all products, systems, and internal processes through ongoing training. 

Work Schedule 

  • Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm CST (shifts may vary based on the needs of the company) 

  • Occasional overtime may be required. 

  • Occasional travel may be required. 

  • Work may be required onsite at the facility in Austin, Texas, as deemed necessary by Sales Management

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a translatable field to the Dietary Supplement Industry.  

  • Advanced degrees and/or Licenses are a plus.  

  • Background in Nutritional Sciences and/or related field is a requirement.  

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with a proven record in client acquisition and relationship management
