A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Controller you will be a financial advisor to the President and leadership team for strategic planning purposes and support of the organizationโ€™s growth. Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including internal controls, accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, forecasting, SOX controls, and audit support. Leads and manages the budgeting process and gathers financial data for analysis and forecasting. Responsible for driving process improvements while coaching and developing the finance team.

You are a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and possess an excellent work ethic.

ยท Lead company efforts to plan and optimize the organizationโ€™s financial performance.

ยท Lead company efforts to improve ERP system processes, drive productivity improvements and business simplification throughout the organization.

ยท Act as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team by providing financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

ยท Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to all relevant stakeholders while maintaining an environment of internal controls to minimize risk of a material mistake, fraud, or audit deficiency.

ยท Work with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements and filings while adhering to GAAP standards.

ยท Monitor, analyze, and communicate the financial performance of the company compared to budget / forecast and recommend changes to improve results.

ยท Maintain scalable accounting and control processes, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

ยท Develop and supervise the staff, monitor staff performance, and evaluate department effectiveness.

ยท Improve overall operation and productivity of the company and safeguard the assets of the corporation.

ยท In cooperation with President & Human Resources, develop compensation, and other benefit packages to maximize their effect while controlling costs.

What You Offer

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting or finance with MBA preferred

ยท Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred

ยท Prior experience in the manufacturing industry required.

ยท Strong leadership, analytical, quantitative, problem solving, technical and communication skills.

ยท Proven ability to successfully lead change initiatives and effectively interface with a management team.

ยท Progressive experience up to a Controller equivalent position strongly preferred.

ยท Technical accounting skills combined with process aptitude and demonstrated โ€œscale upโ€ in a growth or high change business environment.

ยท Demonstrated skills in leading and developing teams. Using strong communication skills in a collaborative environment.

ยท Technical skills include the MS suite (notably Excel and PowerPoint) and efficient integration of technologies across organization.

ยท Physical requirements: Minimal lifting (20lbs); ability to meet travel requirements.

ยท Travel requirements: Minimal domestic and international travel required as necessary to perform essential job functions.
