Controller – Restaurant Group


Overview

A fast-growing, people-first restaurant group is seeking a Controller to lead and elevate the company’s financial operations.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and views finance as a true partner to operations.

This individual will play a critical role in supporting field leadership, driving financial clarity, and helping the business scale with strong systems, discipline, and insight.


What You’ll Do


Financial Leadership & Oversight

  • Own the full-cycle accounting process including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger integrity
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial statements and operational reporting
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls


Operational Partnership

  • Serve as a financial partner to operations teams across multiple locations
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights for field leaders
  • Support decision-making around labor, cost controls, and profitability


Systems & Process Improvement

  • Lead and optimize financial systems, with a strong focus on Restaurant365
  • Improve workflows, reporting capabilities, and data accuracy across the organization
  • Help scale infrastructure to support company growth


Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide variance analysis
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins and drive efficiencies


Team Leadership

  • Build, develop, and mentor an accounting/finance team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, support, and continuous improvement
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, and executive leadership
