Key responsibilities

  • Develop new revenue by prospecting and opening doors with national brands, agencies, DTC companies, and organizations.

  • Sell premium podcast inventory through host endorsements, DAI, branded content, and sponsorship integrations while building integrated campaigns across Salem's broader platform.

  • Navigate Salem's host endorsement process, including category exclusivity and talent approval requirements.

Job description

Overview

Salem Podcast Network, a division of Salem Media Group, is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Senior Podcast Sales Executive to drive new business and grow revenue across our national podcast network. Salem Podcast Network is the fastest-growing podcast network in the conservative and faith-based space, home to some of the most influential voices in media today.

  • We're seeking a senior sales professional with deep national media relationships who can monetize premium podcast inventory through host endorsements, dynamic ad insertion (DAI), branded content, and sponsorship integrations.
  • This is a sales role focused on opening doors, closing business, and building long-term advertiser partnerships.
  • Ideal background: national audio sales, podcast advertising, digital media, or network/agency sales at a major media company.
Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Develop new revenue by prospecting and opening doors with national brands, agencies, DTC companies, and organizations aligned with Salem's audience.
  • Sell premium podcast inventory (host endorsements and DAI) while building integrated campaigns across Salem's broader One World platform: radio, Salem News Channel, Townhall Media, Influencer Network, Cultivate, and Salem's owned and operated digital properties.
  • Bring your existing client and agency relationships to the table and convert them into revenue.
  • Navigate Salem's host endorsement process, including category exclusivity and talent approval requirements.
  • Develop insight-led, prescriptive proposals that translate audience engagement and performance data into measurable results for advertisers.
  • Exceed revenue targets each month and maintain a healthy, accurate pipeline.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years in national audio, podcast, digital media, or network/agency sales with a proven track record of closing new business and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Established national advertiser and/or agency relationships with the ability to open doors quickly.
  • Deep understanding of podcast ad formats: host endorsements, DAI, branded content, sponsorship integrations, and performance-driven campaigns.
  • Strategic, consultative seller who builds integrated campaigns (not just sells inventory) and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to make complex media strategies feel simple and compelling.
  • CRM proficiency and disciplined pipeline management.

Who Will Thrive Here

  • Hunters who love getting in front of the right person and building something.
  • Sellers who understand audiences, trust, and the power of host credibility in driving advertiser results.
  • Professionals who can convert influence into revenue.
  • Individuals who can quickly identify and open meaningful conversations with key decision-makers.
  • People who align with conservative and/or Christian values. You don't just sell this product... you believe in it.
Benefits

Why Salem Podcast Network

  • Work with the most influential roster of conservative and faith-based podcast talent in the country.
  • Uncapped earning potential (competitive base + commission).
  • Opportunity to build a national podcast monetization engine inside an established, publicly traded media company.
  • Access to Salem's full One World platform to architect multi-channel campaigns no competitor can match.
  • Competitive pay structure based on experience.
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Paid holidays and vacation time.
