Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Podcast Video Editor - SaaS based in Netherlands.

This role is an opportunity to shape high-quality, YouTube-first podcast content through polished and engaging video editing. You will transform multi-camera recordings into compelling long-form episodes, typically ranging from 60 to 90 minutes. The position combines precise editing, dynamic pacing, audio quality and visual storytelling to keep audiences engaged throughout each episode. You will also identify strong moments for social media and prepare rough vertical cutdowns for short-form distribution. Working within an established creative workflow, you will receive structured feedback while maintaining organised project files that support efficient final production. Strong performance on the initial project can lead to an ongoing creative partnership as the podcast grows.

Accountabilities
  • Sync and assemble multi-camera footage into compelling full-length podcast episodes, typically 60-90 minutes.
  • Edit dialogue with clean cuts, natural transitions and dynamic pacing while preserving the authentic flow of conversations.
  • Clean and balance dialogue audio to deliver a clear and consistent listening experience.
  • Remove dead air and unnecessary pauses while maintaining the natural rhythm and substance of discussions.
  • Identify and label 4-6 strong moments within each episode that can be developed into social media clips.
  • Create rough timelines for vertical social media cutdowns, with final polish and packaging handled by the internal team.
  • Apply purposeful B-roll, visual elements and graphic overlays where appropriate to strengthen storytelling and viewer engagement.
  • Maintain a clean and organised Adobe Premiere Pro project structure that can be easily picked up for final editing, packaging and distribution.
  • Incorporate structured and direct feedback into revisions and maintain consistency with the established creative workflow.
  • Deliver project-based edits efficiently while meeting agreed timelines and quality expectations.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience editing long-form podcast content in a premium YouTube style comparable to Diary of a CEO, Huberman Lab or similar productions; providing relevant samples is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with Autopod for multi-camera synchronisation is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of dialogue cleanup, audio balancing and basic audio post-production.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, visual storytelling, B-roll selection and audience retention in long-form video.
  • Ability to identify compelling moments from long-form conversations and adapt them for social media content.
  • Comfortable working within an established editing workflow and responding effectively to structured, direct feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organised project files and editing timelines.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection suitable for transferring and working with large media files.
  • Adequate local storage capacity to manage large 4K video files.
  • Ability to work independently and manage project-based assignments efficiently.
  • Updated CV or resume outlining previous roles and key responsibilities.
  • Portfolio with direct, accessible links showcasing the most relevant editing work, particularly podcast projects.
  • Cover letter explaining your role in previous projects, the tools and software used, and your editing approach or creative process.
  • Links to 2-3 examples of long-form podcast episodes you have edited.
  • Examples of short-form social media clips created from longer podcast content are a bonus.
  • Ability to provide your hourly rate as part of the application.
Benefits
  • Project-based engagement with an initial single-episode editing assignment.
  • Estimated workload of approximately 2-4 hours per episode for an experienced editor.
  • Flexible working schedule.
  • Remote opportunity.
  • Potential for ongoing work as the podcast grows and successful collaboration is established.
  • Opportunity to build a long-term creative partnership from the ground up.
  • Opportunity to work on premium, YouTube-first podcast content.
  • Exposure to long-form podcast production and short-form social media content development.
