Job description

A growing insurance and consulting organization is seeking a Commercial Lines Business Development Executive to drive new business growth and expand commercial property & casualty relationships throughout the market. This role is ideal for an experienced producer looking for a larger platform—or a high-performing Commercial Lines Account Manager or Account Executive ready to transition into sales with substantial support and opportunity.

Commercial insurance experience is required.

The Job:

  • Develop new Commercial Lines business relationships across small, middle-market, and large accounts.
  • Leverage an established client base with significant untapped cross-selling opportunities.
  • Partner with internal Employee Benefits, Retirement, HR Consulting, Payroll, PEO, and Wealth Management teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners, executives, and decision-makers.
  • Create and execute strategic prospecting plans supported by marketing and sales enablement resources.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to identify opportunities and drive new revenue.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients manage risk and protect their businesses.
  • Play a key role in shaping the future growth and direction of the Commercial Lines practice.

The Company:

  • Built-In Opportunity: Access to an existing book of Employee Benefits and Retirement clients with significant P&C cross-selling potential.
  • Producer-Friendly Compensation: Immediate commission opportunities with no validation period.
  • Collaborative Sales Culture: Work alongside specialists across multiple service lines in a team-selling environment.
  • Marketing & Sales Support: Dedicated resources to help identify prospects, generate opportunities, and support your growth.
  • Leadership Potential: Opportunity to help build and lead a growing Commercial Lines practice.
  • Long-Term Upside: Potential for equity participation and significant career growth.

What We're Looking For:

  • Commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience.
  • Proven business development, relationship management, or client-facing experience.
  • Existing producers and business development professionals are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong Commercial Lines Account Managers or Account Executives seeking a transition into production will also be considered.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and grow a book of business.
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Property & Casualty License preferred.

If you're looking for more than just another producer role—and want access to a platform with true cross-selling opportunities, marketing support, leadership potential, and long-term growth—MGA would be happy to have a confidential conversation and share more about this opportunity.
