Job Description

Responsible for the daily operations of the hotel housekeeping and custodial departments. Ensure that the cleanliness of all public areas and guest rooms are maintained in accordance with company and/or departmental standards. Manage staff and ensure practices and procedures are consistently followed.

  • Handle all personnel-related matters including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and discharging.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with company and/or departmental standards.
  • Manage staff, equipment, and supply levels in alignment with business and budgetary objectives and needs.
  • Prepare and analyze reports relative to the operations of the department. Make operational adjustments as appropriate.
  • Resolve guest and employee issues and requests.
  • Establish department guidelines, rules, regulations, and training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in hotel housekeeping and EVS operations required.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the latest cleaning techniques, associated chemicals and equipment, and OSHA and safety programs.
  • Must be computer literate and able to effectively utilize the company's LMS system as well as Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication, and customer relations skills.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
