Job Description
Summary:
The Unconventional LLC provides Isolation Immersion (ISO) in US based locations, leveraging dense populations of customer identified target languages and cultures. Unconventional's unique approach to ISO allows students to interact with native speakers in the target language in a functional real-life environment while completing task-based activities outside of the traditional classroom ISO environment. Unconventional's ISO exercises offer a unique alternative to foreign travel immersion that significantly mitigates security risk, budget constraints, country clearance requirements, and dwell-time challenges.
The Unconventional LLC provides Isolation Immersion (ISO) in various U.S. based locations that focus heavily on everyday utilization of the target language through participatory listening, speaking, and reading with native speakers. Students are constantly exposed to and trained in the target language, culture, and respective regional expertise.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
Must be a native speaker of the target language and demonstrate an advanced level of fluency in English.
Must be able to teach 10-12 hours a day.
Must be physically able to conduct task-based activities that require rock climbing, shooting, hiking 5 miles, daily physical exercise, and other physical activities.
Possess a high level of knowledge in teaching methodologies.
Be a team player and work well with other instructors in team-teaching.
Follow lesson plans without supervision.
Be flexible and spontaneous; take advantage of opportunity situations to teach students.
Must be able to create and sustain a live classroom anytime and anywhere.
